Description
Fuchi-kashira with a gourd and sake cup design, signed Naotsugu, high relief carving, fine line engraving, and colored inlay. This is a detached fuchi-kashira with a signature.
I believe Naotsugu refers to Toyama Naotsugu of the Hamano school.
On the back of the gold gourd, there is a sake cup, and pine trees are depicted with fine line engraving. It is likely that there is a moon above, and this may be a representation of Li Bai's Drinking Alone Under the Moon with a motif of a person absent.
There are signs of age-related dirt, deterioration, and paint peeling, but the condition is good. Please check the images carefully.
