Aizpiri was born in Paris in 1919 and passed away in 2016. His father was a sculptor of Basque descent, and in this privileged environment, he began painting from childhood. He entered the Paris School of Fine Arts at 17, held his first solo exhibition in Paris at 24, and was appointed a member of the Salon d'Automne at 26, receiving high acclaim from a young age. His style, characterized by boldly simplified brushwork and an abundance of rich colors, became increasingly mature and expressive.
