Keisuke Serizawa (1895-1984), a Living National Treasure and dyer blessed with a natural talent for free color sense and pattern creation.
● This is a 1978 stencil-dyed calendar, part of a series that continued for 40 years from 1945. (Production will end in 2025)
Although it is a calendar from over 40 years ago, it is kept in excellent condition. It has been carefully stored.

Purchased a few years ago from the Keisuke Serizawa Art Museum's online shop. This is a limited item that sells out immediately upon restock.
As expected of a dedicated frame, it greatly enhances the calendar when framed. Although it is a calendar, we hope you will enjoy it as a piece of art, changing the contents according to the season.
As with calendars from any year, the color scheme, pattern design, text and number design, and the texture of the colors dyed on handmade Japanese paper are all superb. It is endlessly fascinating to look at. It is very valuable and I believe its value will only increase in the future.
2025 marks the 130th anniversary of Keisuke Serizawa's birth.
In this milestone year, the stencil-dyed calendars, which have been produced by Keiju-sha for many years, have ceased production.
It is very regrettable, but in that sense too, I believe it will become a valuable work in the future.
