I have always been drawn to the versatility, potential, and strength of paper. I love the idea of transforming humble paper into something unique and beautiful. I continue to experiment with the possibilities of paper, developing my own techniques of mixing clay, acrylics, polymer mediums, and aluminum foil into cast paper. I carefully determine the results I want, then reconstruct these new papers and the resulting textures and colors to achieve moods and feelings. I then place and combine these forms on top of materials to complete abstract collages or Masked Totems.
