The Grand Roof Ring is a symbolic structure of the Osaka-Kansai Expo venue, representing the venue's design philosophy of diverse yet one.
It is constructed by adding modern techniques to the traditional nuki joinery used in the architecture of Japanese shrines and temples.
It serves as the main circulation route of the venue, providing a smooth transportation space, while also functioning as a comfortable resting area that shields from rain, wind, and sunlight.
