There is an inscription on the side of the NIPPOPO that reads 北◯作 (Kita Maru Saku).
The characters are difficult to read, so the specific artist and workshop are unknown.

One of the two figures has a relatively clear inscription, but the other's carving has become faint, possibly due to age (?).

This was purchased by a family member during a trip to Hokkaido.

The carvings were cleaned with a soft brush, and the entire piece was gently wiped with a dry cloth.
