CMC M2 Carbine SMG Metal Model Gun - Deadstock Storage Item

This is a model gun of the M2 Carbine manufactured by Tokyo CMC. It was purchased as wholesale deadstock several decades ago and has been stored in its original box, completely unused and unfired, in the same condition as when it was shipped from the wholesaler.

After purchase, no operations such as loading or ejecting were performed. This is a gem that was kept as part of a collection.

This is probably the second time it has been opened, for the purpose of taking photographs for this listing.

Various M1 and M2 Carbines were manufactured and sold from 1978 onwards. This particular item is likely an early Type 3 M2 Carbine from the first half of 1978.

The bolt is of the round type, and the full-auto selector located on the left side of the bolt is an externally identifiable feature of the M2 Carbine.

I am not very knowledgeable beyond this, so I cannot provide further details. Please judge from the photographs.

Included with the main unit and original box:
- 1 x 20-round magazine
- Sling (originally tied to the oiler on the buttstock side)
- Parts list
- Disassembly instructions
- 9 x 30 Carbine cartridges

Regarding the cartridges, I inquired with the wholesaler at the time, as I expected there to be 10, but was told that this was the stock condition of the deadstock item, with only 9 available.
These are, of course, unfired cartridges.

How about this historical model gun, which is no longer easily obtainable, for those who experienced it in real-time, or for those who have recently become interested in collecting model guns?
