The YAMAHA PLG100-DX is an XG-compatible plug-in board equipped with an Advanced DX sound source.

The PLG100-DX is a circuit board based on the FM synthesizer DX7.
It cannot be used on its own and is used by connecting it to the expansion connector of YAMAHA XG sound modules or YAMAHA MOTIF series synthesizers that support plug-in boards.

I purchased it when it was first released and installed it in my MU-100R, but my computer at the time was a Mac, so I couldn't use the included Windows software. (Tears)
I tried to get sound out of it on its own without relying on software, but I gave up due to my lack of MIDI knowledge.
No sound has ever been produced from this board, so it's no exaggeration to say it's an unused board.
It has been stored at home for over 20 years, but when I powered it on for this listing, it was recognized by the MU-100R (see image).

The included software and instruction manual are missing, so only the board will be listed.
We are looking to sell this to someone knowledgeable in DTM and MIDI, or someone who owns compatible equipment.
