BIRKENSTOCK TATAMI & People Tree Collaboration Arles Flower Dot Sandals.
These stylish sandals are a collaboration between People Tree, a pioneer brand in fair trade fashion, and TATAMI, a shoe brand that combines the technology of Germany's Birkenstock. They are produced through fair trade.
The ergonomically designed TATAMI footbed is made of cotton with slub weave from Tanapara Swallows, women from the Kumudini Welfare Foundation in Bangladesh.
Through this project, the producers who create the fabric receive fair wages, and a portion of the product's sales is used for technical support and activities to promote fair trade.
