◇Description◇
The Hachihon Choshi (8-hole key) is the easiest and most fundamental key for the Shinobue flute.
It is easy to produce sound and is characterized by its bright and light tone.

◇About the Maker◇
We sell handmade Shinobue flutes crafted by a father and daughter who have been a Shinobue instructor and flute maker in Shimane Prefecture for approximately 25 years. We craft Shinobue and Kagurabue flutes from female bamboo (shinodake) harvested along the Shizuma River (formerly Ginzan River) and dried for over 3 years.

◇Tuning◇
The flute is tuned to the Western scale (A=440Hz), allowing for ensemble playing with other instruments.
We have adjusted it so that clear sounds can be produced from Ro-on, Ko-on, to Dai Ko-on by controlling your breath strength.

◇Maker◇
I craft these flutes together with my father, who has been a Shinobue instructor in Shimane Prefecture for approximately 25 years.
Each flute is handmade from female bamboo found along the Shizuma River, dried for over 3 years.

* As natural shinodake is used, there will be individual differences in tone and playing feel for each flute. If you are already accustomed to flutes from other makers, you may need some time to get used to producing the Dai Ko-on range. Also, the ease of producing sound may vary depending on the individual product and the player's skill.
