Shamisen Bachi (Plectrum) - Ivory-like, High-Quality, Antique 2-Piece Set
Set of 2 Shamisen Bachi (Plectrums) for playing the traditional Japanese instrument, Shamisen!! Brand new!!
☆These are likely brand new, unused plectrums made of faux ivory!?
These shamisen plectrums were found at my grandmother's house in the countryside. Please examine the photos carefully and make your purchase decision based on your own judgment.
Purpose: Used to produce sound by plucking the strings or striking the skin of the shamisen.
Material: Genuine ivory (natural material) is sometimes used for high-quality plectrums, characterized by their rich tone and resonance.
Plastic and wooden plectrums are also available.
Types: The shape and size vary depending on the genre of music being played (e.g., Nagauta, Minyo, Tsugaru).
Storage Case: The brown part visible at the bottom of the image is a protective case called a bachi saya (plectrum sheath), used to protect the tip of the precious plectrum.
Engraving: The word Sakamoto is visible on the sheath, which may indicate the name of the craftsman or shop that made it. A memo sheet is used as the paper in the sheath!! It is being listed as is. The plectrum bag has some dullness and discoloration, so please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.
