Features and History of Tattuke Hakama
Oda Nobunaga: There are records of him wearing it at Nobunaga's Uma Soroe (military parade), and it is known as an outfit he favored.
Practicality: It was easy to move in and did not interfere with wearing armor (Tosei Gusoku), making it suitable as Yoroi Shita (under-armor clothing) during the Sengoku period ♡
Samurai of that era apparently used this hakama, which combined splendor and practicality, as battle attire and everyday wear ♡
Tattuke hakama (裁着袴) are pant-like hakama that are narrow from the knee down and have kyahan (shin guards) sewn in, making them easy to move in. During the Sengoku period, due to their mobility, they were favored by samurai as combat wear, especially as Yoroi Shita worn under armor ♡
Would also be great for Coming-of-Age ceremonies!!
