This film vividly depicts the confrontation between a gang organization that begins to control Harlem with the new drug crack, and the city police special task force burning with the mission to eradicate drugs, featuring intense gunfights at a brisk pace. It's highly enjoyable, balancing social commentary that exposes the drug problem rooted in the Black community with entertainment value that could be described as The Godfather of Black Cinema. The soundtrack, featuring lead actor Ice-T and others, was also a big hit at the time of release.
