Hanten (Japanese work jacket) - Tobishoku (firefighter) - Eizawa (永澤) Edo Firefighter - 2nd District, 1st Group - Indigo-dyed印半纏 (patterned hanten) - Edo Firefighting Association Commemorative
This is a Hanten (traditional Japanese jacket) for a construction worker (tobishoku). The collar reads Tobi Nagasawa, and the waist pattern is dyed with Dai Ni, representing the Second District. The large crest on the back is unknown due to lack of knowledge, so please judge from the images.
It appears that the owner used their own towel for the shoulder lining, which is dyed with Dai Ni Ichigumi, Kokubunji-cho Honmura, Nagasawa. While not definitive, this Hanten is likely from the early to mid-Showa period.
Length: Approximately 87.5 cm
Width: Approximately 67 cm
(Please note that these are amateur measurements, so slight errors may occur.)
The color variations seen in the photos are due to lighting during indoor shooting and do not represent actual color inconsistencies.
