Description
This is the Montelibero, an original French-style contrabass bow from Yamamoto String Instruments.
I was told that this bow is a copy of a model made by a famous French bow maker, though I've forgotten their name.
It has good balance, produces a loud sound with ease, and its rich, edgy tone is suitable for both solo and orchestral playing.
I purchased it about 15 years ago, but it has been used infrequently and is in near-new condition. The bow hair was replaced about six months ago, so it is still usable.
