This is a new haori (traditional Japanese jacket) that has been modified for ease of movement by removing the sleeves, with the sides neatly sewn.
It's warm and covers the waist when worn over a kimono or after a bath. It's also stylish and looks great worn over Western clothes.
*The basting threads are still attached on both sides.
