Description
ICOM IC-2400 145/430MHz FM 10W transceiver. As shown in the photos, output of 10W or more has been confirmed for both bands. It can transmit and receive, but it is being sold as junk due to the following issues:
Reasons for being sold as junk:
1. The plastic cowl cover on the front has cracks.
2. The knob for the lower button switch comes off, so it is temporarily secured with clear tape.
3. The sub-band volume knob has cracks.
4. The LCD backlight is dim.
There are no particular functional defects with the radio itself.
The main dial does not slip. The button switches are also functional.
Transmission modulation has been confirmed with a handheld radio on the 430MHz band.
I believe it can still be used if the front plastic cowl part is replaced, but due to the aforementioned issues, it is being listed as junk for parts.
Only those who understand this should bid.
